Measure Twice, Cut Once

November 7th, 2009I’m on a painting binge at the moment, and suddenly motivated to finish all the rooms we haven’t done in the three years we’ve been in our house. Here’s the guest bathroom (Sherwin Williams Blonde color, Duration paint in satin finish). I almost chose this color for the foyer, but I’m glad I didn’t. I like it in the bathroom but I think it’s too yellowy for the foyer. See pics after the jump.
The Finished Product
May 21st, 2009Here are a few more pictures, now that the wall is all finished. We briefly thought we could do this ourselves, but ended up having Creech’s do it for us. I think that was the right way to go, because (a) I was not excited about the idea of hauling each of those 80 lb blocks around, (2) it took them a day and a half and it would have taken us weeks if not months, and (d) I don’t have to worry about it leaning a few years from now. Creech’s did a great job, I’m really happy with how it turned out.
